Chapel Bridge

When you hear Lucerne, you instinctively think of the Chapel Bridge in the middle of the city. Together with the octagonal, 34-metre-high water tower, it is the pride of Central Switzerland - and rightly so: it was built in the 14th century as part of the city's fortifications and is now the oldest covered wooden bridge in Europe.
