Arrival by train
The Hotel Alpina is just a few minutes’ walk from the Lucerne train station. For a pleasant and sustainable trip, we recommend using public transportation.
Exit the train station through the front entrance, then walk all the way to the left until you reach the crosswalk leading to the Hotel Monopol.
From November through April, check-in takes place at the Hotel Monopol. From May through October, walk to the left around the Hotel Monopol, then turn right at the corner of the McDonald’s.
After about 100 meters, you’ll reach the Hotel Alpina on your right.

Traveling by Boat
1. Hotel parking:A limited number of parking spaces are available in the hotel courtyard at a rate of CHF 35 per night. The entrance is located at Frankenstrasse 2–4, between the Hotel MONOPOL and the Hotel ALPINA. Please request a parking space when making your room reservation, as spaces are very limited.
2. Train Station Parking:The large P1 train station parking lot (Bahnhofplatz 1, Lucerne) is located directly in front of the Hotel MONOPOL Lucerne. Please note: Access by car is via Zentralstrasse, Lucerne, toward Bahnhofplatz 1, Lucerne.
3. Parking in the public areas of the city of Lucerne:Affordable parking is available in all WHITE-marked parking spaces in the public areas of the city of Lucerne. The hotel guest parking pass costs CHF 25 and is valid for 24 hours. It can be purchased at the front desk upon check-in. However, with this affordable option, you must find a white parking space in the area yourself. There is no guarantee of a parking spot.
